    The Bihar State Council for Child Welfare society is registered under society registration Act 21, 1860 in the year of 1977-78. The office of the council is at Raj Bhavan, Patna. The aims and objective of this council is (i) To Co-ordinate activities and help in the development of child welfare movement in the state (ii) To serve as a link between the official and non-official agencies and organizations at the local, town, city, district and state level. Governor of Bihar is the President of this society. The Secretary to the Governor is Honorary Secretary. Executive Committee meets at least once in four months for the proper conduct of the affairs of the council. At present there are six Anganwari Training Centres being run by this society at Gaya, Bhagalpur, Purnea, Hajipur, Muzaffarpur and East Champaran. There is a mand Buddhi Shishu Sansthan situated at R. Block, Patna run by this society. Funding for running the Anganwari Training Centres is being done by Director, Integrated Child Development Project of Bihar, Patna.
