Khuda Baksh Oriental Public Library, Patna

Khuda Baksh Oriental Public Library is situated at Ashok Rajpath, Patna. It is a Institute of National importance. This Library is guided by an Act called Khuda Baksh Oriental Public Library Act-1969. It is regulated by the Khuda Baksh Oriental Public Library Board and Governor of Bihar is ex-officio Chairman of this board. Director of this Library is to be appointed by the Central Government. Khuda Baksh Oriental Public Library is a unique repository of about 21000 oriental manuscripts and 2.5 lakh printed books. This Library is now fully funded by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
